EFE…..where opportunities abound!
The Export Furniture Exhibition (EFE) 2007 that took place from 4th – 8th March 2007 at Stadium Putra, Kompleks Sukan Negara (National Sports Complex), Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, concluded successfully.
With over 35,000 sqm of exhibition space, EFE 2007 showcased the product offerings of 220 exhibitors from the region attracting over 10,000 visitors from 152 countries, contributing an economic spin-off of RM18 million within a span of 5 days. The good performance and significant economic contribution made of the fair has received high accolade from the Government of Malaysia for the exhibition industry.
The 4th EFE series which will be held from 6th – 10th March 2008 at the same venue at Stadium Putra, National Sports Complex, Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Organized by the industry for the industry, EFE Trade Fairs are presented by the Malaysia Furniture Entrepreneur Association (MFEA), the most representative Furniture Association in Malaysia.
EFE dubbed as the most important furniture trade fair in Malaysia is the ideal trade platform that creates an outstanding opportunity for manufacturers, suppliers, buyers, wholesalers, retailers and visitors alike to explore the dynamic and potentially enormous emerging markets. EFE 2008 paves the way for more exciting developments with a one-stop year round venue showcasing the region’s furniture exporters to buyers and designers around the world.
EFE 2008 an event not to be missed is expected to have more than 250 exhibitors with an estimate of more than 15,000 overseas trade visitors. The fair will showcase a comprehensive selection of new products, designs, styles and concepts from over 250 companies giving more choices and variety. The total exhibition space has increased by 20% to 42,000 sqm compared to last year.
With escalating growth in size and scale, EFE fulfils the aspiration of the Organiser to better diversify its product display while focusing more on design, creativity, ingenuity and innovation in meeting the needs of the international market environment. The 4th edition of the show will see the exhibition at its largest, offering a choice of furniture ranging from modern, innovative, fashionable and even traditional replicas. The exhibitors will not only provide a selection of designs from their own nation, but will also exhibit diverse choices of furniture types from bedroom, dinning, living room, kitchen, office, outdoor and a wide range of upholstery.
Talking about exhibitors, to add flair and excitement to the event, the organizer has already confirmed participation from foreign countries which includes China, Turkey, Hong Kong, India and Taiwan, just to name a few. The arrival of foreign exhibitors showed confidence in their participation with large markets to be tapped as well as anticipating brisk business during the 5 days trade event.
EFE 2008 New layout with innovative settings was plan after meticulously consideration. Seven (7) halls with easy access to one another are planned for the convenience of our valued visitors and exhibitors. Various kinds of furniture and relevant products are involved in this fair, which is coming to being a “One-Stop-Procure” platform and one of the top furniture events in the region.
Having held their inaugural EFE 2007 at Stadium Putra, the organizer have taken the feedbacks and suggestions from both exhibitors and visitors alike and have taken positive steps to improve on the fair’s layout, presentation and facilities. Easily accessible by public transport and connected via a non-stop shuttle service during the show days, the venue offers easy access to a host of tourist attractions and shopping centres to the city of Kuala Lumpur.
In line with the Organiser’s commitment to promote and brand Export Furniture Exhibition and Malaysian furniture, an aggressive drive on its promotion, advertisements, publications and international road-shows, were embarked immediately after this year’s event (EFE 2007). Road-shows and promotions to new countries have been aggressively carried out. Participation in International Furniture Fairs has been one of the main thrusts in its promotion drive.
